Slime is... DEADLY!?

This week we bought all of our supplies to make the glorious slime!!! Now we can make start to slime on Monday! There are a few risk factors in making slime (yes we know... SLIME IS DEADLY?!) for example, Borax.

Borax, also known as sodium borate, sodium tetraborate, or disodium tetraborate, is an important boron compound, a mineral, and a salt of boric acid. Powdered borax is white, consisting of soft colorless crystals that dissolve easily in water. Borax is illegal in every country except USA and Australia as it is harmful to pregnant women and can kill the unborn baby. Borax is officially classified as non-carcinogenic and a mild skin irritant. ... In other words, borax is toxic in the same way that salt is toxic (Actually ounce for ounce, salt is more toxic): A small amount can do great things; a huge amount will kill you and other living things. (Thanks Google for the info!)

The small amount of borax that is used in slime is 100% safe. The only reason borax is still considered a risk factor is because if you use to much it can be deadly.

Thanks for reading!
