Today the two of us made our FIRST batch of slime! We chose to make fluffy slime as it is the simplest of the slime's. Our first slime (made by Bella Leslie) was really good though the second (made by Bella Robinson) failed! After making a third one we both had awesome slime's. We have a blue slime (Bella Robinson) and a rose goldie one (Bella Leslie). We found out that if you add to much borax it just clumps and goes wet and disgusting and if you don't add enough it's just really sticky. this is because (quoted from last blog post) "When borax and polyvinyl alcohol are combined they undergo a chemical reaction. We can observe the chemical reaction by feeling the mixture becoming cold. Therefore the chemical reaction is an endothermic reaction, meaning it absorbs heat energy. (An exothermic reaction is the opposite, it releases heat). Borax forms cross-links between the polymer chains in the polyvinyl alcohol. These are chemical bonds that hold the chains together, making the mixture less flexible and much thicker." This is only on of 5 slime's we have chosen to make so... watch this space!
